Baby, it’s cold outside! Even here in California, temperatures are hitting all time lows and the rest of the country has been pummeled even earlier than usual. When you break out your winter coats, take a look in that dusty closet and see if you can’t find a coat or two that you can donate to a worthy cause. Millions of folks (and too many kids) are braving the cold streets without coats, hats or gloves. Contact your local homeless shelter (Chellá partners with the Union Rescue Mission in L.A www.chella.com/urm) or Community Center and ask if they are accepting donations. I have been invited to a Holiday party where everyone is bringing cold weather wear to donate instead of the usual gift exchanges. Give the gift of warmth and warm your own heart at the same time knowing you are wrapping your arms around a stranger less fortunate that you.
