From The Heart: Resolve To Love Yourself ... some more!
Last month, I shared with you that my New Year’s Resolution was to love myself more just the way I am. It only seems appropriate this Valentine’s Day season to renew that vow. For years, I anxiously waited for that special card, call, or (did I dare wish?) that doorbell ring of the flower delivery guy and when it didn’t always come, I threw myself into a momentary tizzy.

Beautiful Ideas: Sleeping Beauty
Not long ago, I heard an interview with Jamie Lee Curtis after her mother Janet Leigh died. The interviewer asked Jamie what the best advice her mother had ever given her was. I expected her to answer something like “Never compromise yourself” or “Go for the role no one expects you to take” or even “Don’t ever let your grey roots show” (ok, just kidding on that one!) but instead, she responded the best advice her mom had given her was to wash her make-up off every night.
Now, Janet might not have had the best sense on where to take a shower, but she did have fabulous skin. It made me think about how often I fall in bed without washing my face. It stands to reason I would wake up with less than glowing skin on those mornings after.
