Hello
Beautiful!
Chelsea here, with another issue of Chellá Insight. As always, my goal is to help you discover and enhance your beauty inside and out. I hope every one of you had a wonderful holiday season - I know I did. One of my favorite parts of the holidays is the aftermath - including Valentine's Day. This is the time of year when I really take care of myself.

A little pampering goes a long way towards erasing the stress that goes with throwing parties and standing in long lines at department stores. So do yourself a favor and take care of yourself.
Don't foget, taking care of your outside will help you feel good on the inside. And no one takes better care of your skin than Chellá.
If there are products you'd like to see Chellá develop, or if you
have suggestions on ways we can improve, tell
me.
Thanks for reading!
Chelsea.

| FAQ: Do I Need a Skin Toner? |
 |
|
Q: I keep reading about skin toners. What do they do and why do I need them?
A: Toners stimulate and tighten the skin, while closing pores to keep out dirt. They're essential to a good face-care routine. If you're washing your face and moisturizing, but skipping that necessary middle step -- the toner -- neither the face-washing nor the moisturizer is as effective as it could be.
Most soaps raise the pH level in your skin, leaving it feeling dry. A good toner balances those levels, which is important because otherwise, the skin is "busy" trying to balance the pH levels on its own, and the moisturizer -- your next step -- isn't as effective.
That's why, at Chellá, we're busy creating two toners perfect for balancing pH levels, firming skin without tightening it, and reducing the size and appearance of pores.
Skin Tonic (for dry to normal skin)
Made with organic Aloe Vera, Green Tea Leaf extract, and other botanicals, this Tonic hydrates and helps balance your skin's pH level.
Skin Tonic (for oily skin)
Made with organic botanicals such as Willow Bark Extract, Calendula, and Aloe, this Tonic removes excess oil without drying, and works to balance pH levels so your skin doesn't have to work extra hard on its own.
Best of all: we're offering a pre-order special! Let us know if you would be interested in our new toner and we will email you a 50% coupon when it's available. Click here to be notified.

Beautiful People Do Beautiful
Things |
 |
|
At Chellá, we
believe that when we work together, we can achieve beautiful
things. And that belief is never stronger than during the holiday season. That's why we've made it a point to work with
organizations like the Diabetes Research Institute
Foundation and the Leukemia and Lymphoma
Society.
Chellá has set
up ways for these organizations to raise money by selling Chellá products.
Here's how it works: We give 20% of every sale made through
these two organizations back to the organizations. Simple,
right?
If you'd like a portion of your Chellá purchase to go
to one of these organizations, visit Donate 20% to Diabetes, or Donate 20% to Leukemia &
Lymphoma.
Do you do something beautiful for
your community? Tell us about it!

| Don't Worry, it's Not Just
You |
 |
|
You're a woman with principles. As you've grown, you've matured and changed, and you're becoming more at home in your own skin, happy with who you are.
Yet there linger some things from your past that haunt you. Maybe you dropped a lover so unceremoniously that it makes you cringe when you think of it. Or you treated a close friend unkindly, and the friendship ended. Or you fingered some money from the cash register at your very first job.
If you feel a sense of shame over some of the things you did in the past, you're not alone. People change as they grow, and behaviors that seemed acceptable then are anything but, now. Ask yourself, honestly, if what you did was really wrong. If the answer is yes, you might consider making amends: write a letter, make a phone call, and honestly ask for forgiveness.
On the other hand, if what you did hurt you more than anyone else, or if making amends would harm you or the other person, give yourself a break. Forgive yourself, and move on.

"What's old is new again…" Isn't that always the way things seem to go, in fashion, social trends, and life? Here are this month's treasures.
In:
1. Second Honeymoon
Nothing in the world is as wonderful as the perfect honeymoon -- except, perhaps, the second honeymoon. Now, as Valentines Day nears, planning a second honeymoon may be just what you need to lavish love on your lover and banish the winter blues.
Many couples, beginning their married lives together, have less money or time to spend on their honeymoon than they would like. And often, exhausted from the excitement of the preceeding months and overwhelmed by the idea of beginning a life together, the honeymoon can be a pleasurable but emotional journey.
But many couples are finding that later in life, when they have 10 or 20 years of marriage under their belts, a second honeymoon offers the opportunity to relax, leave the kids and the jobs, and enjoy getting to know one another again.
2. Paper & Pencil
Yes, it's a digital world, and everyone raves about their, PDAs, Blackberries, and mobile phones that do anything except make a grilled cheese sandwich. But many women, done in by those teensy screens and frustratingly small keypads, have said "no" to electronic advances and gone back to good, old-fashioned personal organizers.
A small, sleek, leather-bound notebook with room for appointments, to-do lists, and brilliant ideas, tossed in a shoulder-bag and ready to go, can be as effective and efficient as a Palm Pilot.
3. Chivalry
It's not dead after all. I'm seeing increasing examples of men acting chivalrous, and of women not being annoyed by it. Most of the women I know work their fannies off, whether it's for the kids, the career, or the volunteer work. So what does it hurt to have a man show his appreciation? The husband of a good friend of mine has committed to opening her car door for her, no matter where they go or how hurried they are. Needless to say, she's loving it.
Out:
1. Long Hair
Luxurious long tresses can still be beautiful, but many women are lopping it off for a more youthful, lighter look. So much can be done with a short and layered head of hair -- let a skilled stylist play with it like a sculpture until it's the perfect look for you.
2. Understated Jewlery
Women are wearing jewelry that stands out, not jewelry that accessorizes modestly. Bangle bracelets, dangly earrings, and chunky necklaces are all fabulous ways to say, "I'm bold and confident, and you wish you knew me." Just don't wear them all at once.
Save your more classy, reserved pieces for clothing with exotic prints.
3. Caffeine
Okay, maybe it's just me. I've been exhausted in the afternoons and irritable in the evenings -- so much so that I finally consulted a doctor. The culprit? Three or four cups of coffee in the a.m., followed by a diet cola in the afternoon and occasionally (if I'm at one of those wonderful bookstores/coffee shops), a latte.
I never used to drink so much caffeine, but I admit it has snuck up on me. So I've backed off bit by bit until I'm down to nothing. Nada. Mint tea is as crazy as I get.
Do I feel better? It's only been a week. I'm still bleary eyed. I'll let you know next issue.
