The Enzyme Exfoliating Mask is a Lactic Acid based formulation designed to gently exfoliate dead skin cells and excess sebum from the skin and encourage cell turnover for radiant, more even toned and younger looking skin.
The Balancing Clay Mask is a calming and hydrating mask containing hectorite clay and copper that work synergistically to draw out toxins and impurities, refine pores and leave skin cleansed, balanced and younger looking. This unique formula also contains seaweed and other nourishing and healing botanicals that calm sensitive skin and remedy acne and irritation.

Each year, Mother’s Day comes with bittersweet feelings, especially if our mothers are no longer here to share Brunch with or if we are one of the many women trying to become a mother or are struggling with the real demands of actually being a mother.
This Mother’s Day, I thought it might be fun to look at the “mother” in all of us whether we have children or not. So often we are called upon to nurture others either at home or at work, not to mention our friendships. As women, (sorry guys, I promise to address the “father” in you in June) our nurturing abilities are often stretched to the max and while we may excel at caring for and listening to others, we often neglect to share those gifts with the one person who needs it most..us! This Mother’s Day, take a few minutes to tell yourself how much you appreciate yourself and shower yourself with a gift (come on, you know best what you want), whether it’s quiet time alone, that new bestseller you’ve been wanting (splurge on the hardcover, don’t wait for the paperback) or a new shipment from Chellá (ok, that was too easy). Whatever it is, celebrate all the ways you “mother” others and “mother” yourself for a change, just don’t forget your mom or that next family get-together might get ugly.

Chellá Celebrates the Mothers of the Los Angeles Union Rescue Mission
Once again this year, Chellá Skin Care will be pampering the mothers at the Los Angeles Union Rescue Mission with a total indulgence Chellá facial. Beautiful Ingredients: Gotu Kola
In our continuing series of ingredients used in Chellá’s anti-aging skin care products, we explore the misunderstood Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica). Containing no caffeine as its name might suggest, it has been used as skin anti-inflammatory in the East for thousands of years. Gotu Kola contains many nutrients that support the body’s vitality with its vitamins A, B, E and K, and as well as magnesium.
Gotu Koloa also is a source of triterpenoids. Triterpenoids are compounds that have been shown to aid in wound healing and studies show that triterpenoids strengthen the skin, increase the concentration of antioxidants in wounds, and restore inflamed tissues by increasing blood supply. In this regard, Gotu Kola is an excellent ingredient in skin care formulations as an aid in cell reconstruction. With its effect on connective tissue, the synthesis of collagen is enhanced resulting in the thickening of the skin which we know is imperative to combat wrinkles created from thinning skin.
